Summer Fundraising Campaign
With our new space comes new opportunities. We've worked with great partners to develop a museum interpretative plan to take the museum to a whole new level. Specifically to enhance the experience of all visitors, improve education for children and families, make it more fun and make it more
professional.
The plan encouraged the following improvements that we are fundraising for this summer:
- Finish the "Mini Sota" exhibit room layouts and wall displays
- Create professional signage for all layouts that provide more detail
- Add education STEM exhibits including learning how the track and motors work, differences in "scale" and "gauge" and how to design and build your own LEGO train
- Expand the children's play area with more hands-on layouts/tables
- Expanding our Junior Engineer and pre-STEM programming
- Create a more welcoming and exciting museum entry (seen above)
- Make front of house improvements for members and visitors
- Enclose our back of house workshop for safety and fire protection
We will show some of these concepts during our open house and via these newsletters over the next few months. We hope to raise over $33,000 with the help of our visitors, members and potential grants.
