[TCMRM] Museum Photo Event + LEGO State Fair + Fall Hobby Show

Our Next Presenter is...

This Sunday, August 28th at 4pm notable railroad photographer and writer Steve Glischinski joins us for a double feature event! Join us while Steve gives a presentation covering "Duluth, Missabe & Iron Range - The Last 30 Years" -and- "45 Years of Iowa Railroading". Both are digital shows with music. The photos above and below are some of Steve's work dating as far back as the 1970's, when Steve began taken railroad photography as a kid.

The DMIR show runs 20 minutes, the Iowa show 35 minutes.

$10 Museum admission includes this event. You can buy at the door or in advance at tcmrm.eventbrite.com .

Children 4 and under are free. Be sure to come early to enjoy the museum displays before this event as the museum closes at 5.

LEGO State Fair and U of MN Displays

Maybe you caught on KSTP's Twin Cities Live (minute 2:24) or our social media pages but we have a newly expanded State Fair LEGO display in at the museum through September. See all your favorite vendors and attractions in miniature!

We also have an amazing U of MN East Bank LEGO display in our "Mini-Sota" room that is incredible! See this very impressive display now before its gone!

Fall Hobby Show & Sale Returns September 17th!

Our Fall Hobby Show and Sale is Saturday, September 17th at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds.

Attractions: Operating train layouts in several scales! Over 200 tables of new and used model trains in every scale, plus antiques, collectibles, tools, books, videos, toys, buildings, magazines, artwork and more!

Four our young visitors: Engineer Paul will be doing story-time with kids at 10 am and 12:30.

Food Truck: Blue Ox Provisions food truck joins us this year!

Sale Admission: $6.00 for ages 8 and up! Ages 7 and under are FREE!

Hours: 9:00 am to 2:00 pm.

Location: MN State Fairgrounds - Education Building. Enter from Snelling Avenue to Dan Patch Avenue and make your first right! Free parking all around the grounds but please follow parking signs.

Monday: 10am – 3pm

Friday: 10am – 3pm

Saturday: 10am – 5pm

Sunday: 12pm – 5pm

Daytime Museum Admission: $10.00

Children 4 & under FREE!
