90th Anniversary Campaign - Donate Today!
The Museum has developed an
interpretative plan to take the museum to a whole new level! In 2022, many of you donated to help the Museum enhance the experience of all visitors, improve education for children and families, make it more fun and make it more professional.
These funds were and are being used
to:
- Build the "Mini-Sota" Gallery - including the O, HO and N scale layouts & wall displays
- Add professional signage for exhibits that provide more detail
- Expand the children's play area with more hands-on layouts/tables
- Add a public address system to make safety and other announcements
- Improve the gift shop/store area
- Improve the workshop's dust collection system for improved safety and fire protection
In 2024, we want to continue the work and raise $10,000 to:
- Make Improvements to the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system to help with humidity control in order to protect the artifacts and make the museum more comfortable
- Improve the "Mini-Sota" Gallery - the O, HO and N Scale layouts and wall displays
- Add more professional signage for exhibits that provide more detailed information
- Install Reading Rails to provide Educational Information about the exhibits
- Expand the children's play area with more hands-on layouts/tables
