Returns this Saturday!

Our next Night Trains® - Summer Nights event of the year is Saturday, July 20th!

What is Night Trains?

The museum’s collection of model trains of all scales and toy trains of yesteryear come alive throughout the Museum

The magic begins as the lights are turned down and the buildings and street lights glow warmly, setting the scene for specially lighted models of operating vintage passenger trains.

Hours and Admission:
$10 per guest, kids under the age of 4 are free. No group rate available.

The remaining Saturdays from 3-7pm:

July 20th

August 17th

Tickets will be available at the door. No need to buy in advance.

Museum Garage Sale - Saturday, July 20th

Our next museum garage sale is coming soon! Help the museum fund our operations and clear out our warehouse of excess inventory. There will be trains of nearly every scale, buildings, books and other items for sale at hobby show prices!

The sale will be held Saturday, July 20th from 10-6 in the museum's front conference room. Note the longer hours that will coincide with our Night Trains - Summer Edition event being held that day.

No admission required, but while your here consider visiting the museum!

Hobby Shop Summer Sale thru Sept 30th!

Starting this Saturday, July 20th all of our new in-stock hobby shop items will be on sale for 10% off sticker price. (Discount will be automatically taken off at the register.)

Also, our museum members will receive an additional 3% off on top of the discount! If you are not a member this is just one more reason to join!

Donated items and regular gift shop items are not included a part of this sale.

90th Anniversary Campaign - Donate Today!

The Museum has developed an interpretative plan to take the museum to a whole new level! In 2022, many of you donated to help the Museum enhance the experience of all visitors, improve education for children and families, make it more fun and make it more professional.

These funds were and are being used to:

Build the "Mini-Sota" Gallery - including the O, HO and N scale layouts & wall displays
Add professional signage for exhibits that provide more detail
Expand the children's play area with more hands-on layouts/tables
Add a public address system to make safety and other announcements
Improve the gift shop/store area
Improve the workshop's dust collection system for improved safety and fire protection

In 2024, we want to continue the work and raise $10,000 to:

Make Improvements to the heating, ventilating, and air conditioning (HVAC) system to help with humidity control in order to protect the artifacts and make the museum more comfortable
Improve the "Mini-Sota" Gallery - the O, HO and N Scale layouts and wall displays
Add more professional signage for exhibits that provide more detailed information
Install Reading Rails to provide Educational Information about the exhibits
Expand the children's play area with more hands-on layouts/tables
