NIGHT TRAINS IS HERE!
November 24, 2010
Night TrainsNight Trains season starts this Saturday!

Each Saturday night from November through February, we turn down the lights and let the layout come alive in its own magical way.

Buildings and street lights glow warmly, setting the scene for specially lighted models of vintage passenger trains. The town of Mattlin is buried in a blizzard, and throughout the layout are miniature Christmas lights and decorations.

And returning this year is the spectacular Christmas Train! The engine and cars each covered in hundreds of lights wishing everyone the happiest of holidays. It is something not to be missed.

Bring the whole family. We know you will want to make Night Trains at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum part of your family's holiday traditions.

Night Trains runs every Saturday night, Nov. 27, 2010 - Feb. 26, 2011 6 pm - 9 pm
(closed Christmas Day, December 25th)

Admission: $7 per person, $20 per family

New Corrigan Layout Has Arrived from California

The museum received a new layout; the Corrigan O-Gauge High Rail layout designed and built by Clarke Dunham Studios a nationally known model railroad layout builder.

The layout was donated to the Museum by the Michael Corrigan family from Santa Barbara, CA.

The layout is approximately 16' by 30', U shaped with a center aisle, and models downtown Minneapolis during the 1950's when the milling industry and passenger trains were a still vibrant part of the scene.

Come and see our new main attraction at the Toy Train Division in the Chimneys Building Saturday's and Sunday's!
