The Circus Moves by Rails Event Coming Soon!

Fall is here again which means its time for our Circus Days at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum! The event runs Saturday, October 3rd and Saturday, October 10th during normal hours.

What are Circus Trains?

Circus trains began in the 1870s, by replacing the shows that moved by slow animal-drawn wagons. Over the years these trains grew in length as the train cars switched from wood to steel construction. Circus trains typically consisted of three types of cars: large animal cars, flat cars loaded with colorful wagons and passenger cars for the workers and performers.

Our Circus Trains reenact these operations on several of our layouts!

Admission:

Admission to this special event is included in the Museum’s regular admission price of $10 per person, Children 4 and under are admitted free of charge. Family and group rates are available! Get your tickets at tcmrm.eventbrite.com

Museum Garage Sale!

We have been sorting through our inventory at the Twin City Model Railroad Museum and are selling off excess items.

There will be HO, Lionel, and Marx trains, buildings, books and other items for sale at hobby show prices!

The sale will take place on October 3rd and October 10th from 10am - 3pm in the Conference Room at our location. Right inside our main entrance.

No admission required. Excludes items for sale in our gift shop.

Night Trains Coming Soon!

The museum board is working on plans to bring a Night Trains season back this year! While the hours of operation and new COVID practices will be different then past years you can still expect the same magical experience!
